Services on a Green Stone Journeys Tour

What is included on the tour?
The yoga adventure tours include accommodation, transportation, a yoga teacher, tour leader, yoga classes and some meals depending on the location. A Green Stone Journeys guide representative 24 hour on call is on each tour to accommodate for all your travel needs.
Yoga classes based on the daily itineraries and activities and adjusted to the travel schedule of each tour, and usually two per day except on travel days.
Our tours bring you to some amazing locations and while all breakfasts are included on the tour, evening meals are included with lunches at optional locations. If it is a retreat location and in a remote area, meals will be included. See each tour and itinerary for information about meals.
Most meals offer vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, and offer de-tox specialty menu if requested by a person or private group. Meals are healthy and based on wellness principles with local cultural flavour and delights.
With each unique itinerary and route, some activities and optional excursions are included, see each individual tour for more information.
Custom tours will offer their own itinerary and program designed by yourself and Green Stone Journeys.

What type of pre-departure information do we receive?
Pre-departure information is available when the booking is confirmed. We will provide you with all the pre-booking information you may require, travel information and a Tour Dossier with a detailed itinerary and name of the hotels will be provided at the confirmation of final payment.
We are happy to answer any questions you may have prior to tour departure, feel free to contact us and we will organize a time to speak with you.

What kind of places do we stay in?
Our locations are selected for their comfort and originality and in line with our eco-travel philosophies. Expect to find locally-owned, mid-range guesthouses, eco-spas, spa hotel or small or large hotels at each of our locations and see each tour for their specific descriptions.

Will I be sharing a room on tour?
Accommodations for each tour is on a twin share basis. If you are traveling alone, you will be paired with another traveler in the group of the same gender.
Depending on the size and people in the group, an option for a single room is available upon request when booking a regular group tour and available at some locations.
Do you want your own room?
If you are a single traveler seeking a private room and accommodations, a single supplement is charged to guarantee your own room.
Upon request, triple rooms can be arranged for friends traveling together.

Can I book a tour with my own room?
An extra payment for single supplement rooms are available for the duration of the tour upon request, contact us to find out the specific cost for the single supplement option.

What kind of transportation do we use?
Transportation varies between public transportation and private transport and may be taxis, van or public bus depending on the tour and size of the group.
Depending on the tour and location, private transport is generally the required transport due to the tour locations and group size.
All transportation is included on the tour and may include local buses, private vans, taxis, boats and flights depending on the tour.

Do the tours include flights?
International flights and domestic flights to the departure start and end location of the tours are not included in the cost of the tour.
Some yoga adventures and special departure tours have a domestic flight as a part of the tour itinerary and is included in the tour price. If the tours have internal flights in the tour itinerary, they are included in the cost of the tour. Please see tour itineraries for flight information.
If you would like to request assistance with international travel arrangements to or from the trip start point, we do have experience in booking flights and will be happy to assist you. Otherwise, we suggest booking flights through your travel agent.

Do the tours include arrival or departure transfers from the airport?
Arrival and departure transfers from the airport to location start point are not included in the tour price and can be arranged at an additional cost on the Booking Request form when you book your tour.
Otherwise, taxi service upon arrival is a common way to arrive at the start point of the tour.

Can I stay an extra day or two before and/or after my tour? Can you book extra night accommodation for me?
We can book extra accommodation, of any duration, before or after the tour upon request.
Let us know what you have in mind and we will be happy to assist with the reservations of the designated hotel depending on availability or we can recommend another hotel and locations for you.

Do I need Travel Insurance?
Yes! All travellers are required to have travel insurance.
Proof of travel insurance is required once the tour is confirmed and full payment of the tour is made, no less than 30 days prior to the tour departure date. We accept last minute bookings but require payment in advance to confirm a tour with usually a minimum of 4 guests.
In the case of Custom tours, proof is also required for travel insurance and must also be shown to the Green Stone Journeys representative on the first day of the tour.
Note that without proof of travel insurance, you will not able to travel on the tour with the group.
The minimum recommended travel insurance for medical emergency, evacuation and repatriation is $200,000 USD (or equivalent in other currencies).

Can I get travel insurance through Green Stone Journeys?
Green Stone Journeys does not offer this service. You can purchase travel insurance through a travel agent, through credit card companies as well as your preferred insurance company.

What else is not included on the tours?
Most optional activities such as city tours and excursions in each region is not included in the tour price. We will advise you of these options prior to your departure with us.
Meals that are not included in the tour packages, options will be available at local restaurants or other special locations during the tour itinerary and a budget is required for this on the tour.
Travel Insurance is mandatory to travel with Green Stone Journeys and is not included in the tour price.
Visa fees (if required, depending on your nationality) are not included in the tour price.
Taxes associated with international flight tickets are not included in the tour price and usually are included in the purchase of your airfare.
Optional activities and wellness therapies, depending on the location and itinerary are not included in the tour price.
Our tours provide time for you to explore and experience what you choose and will provide options in the pre-departure information and will provide informtion with the local guide while on the tour.
