Mandy Kalitsis

P1020149Mandy’s passion for nature and travel began at an early age with an outdoor education program in northern Ontario, Canada and it changed her life. She developed a deep appreciation of the outdoors and started to spend more time in nature.

From this passion, she participated in an environmental internship in Argentina working with a small environmental organization after finishing her Degree in Biology and Environmental Restoration from Canada.

It was travelling throughout Latin America which introduced her to the beauty of the Spanish language and her love of travel. Mandy’s love of South America expanded as she learned more about the generosity and passion of Latin Americans and began working in the tourism industry leading tours throughout many countries.

Mandy is a true South America Expert, she has been the tour leader to hundreds of people in her adopted home of Peru with extensive experience in tourism management and project development. As a tour leader she was privileged enough to hike, bike, raft, climb, practice yoga, eat and be guided through most of Peru. She now uses her acquired knowledge of the country to help create and realize the perfect tour of her adopted country and to work with others to incorporate stewardship of both the Peruvian culture and nature.

With an affinity for food, the natural environment and for the traditions and lifestyles of local communities, Mandy loves to explore new places and regions for local tour options and to showcase the true Peruvian highlights and culinary delights. She has also been involved in the spiritual elements surrounding the culture of the Andes including plant medicine, health and healing, shamanic ceremonies and supports the profound impact these influences can have in our every day lives to balance to traditional healing systems with modern wellbeing.

With 15 years experience in the travel industry and a passion for Peru, Mandy loves to work with people from around the world to show the special highlights of this magical region.
