We’ll also travel to the community of Amaru where we will learn about Andean life and a community based initiative of traditional weaving techniques for a shared lunch with the project owners. Tour highlights also include a visit to Moray, a unique Inca site that was believed to be an agricultural research centre and formed by concentric, circular terraces that provide a large difference in temperature from top to bottom and amaze at the natural abundance and beauty of the region. Learn about the interesting agricultural techniques of the Incas and witness some stunning visuals of the natural terrain.
Our days in the Sacred Valley will also include a visit to the salt pools of Maras. These pre-Inca salt pools have been worked for centuries and are fed by an underground stream to produce pink salt for export and provide the back-drop for some pretty amazing photos!
Evenings will be spent at our accommodation with gentle and rejuvenating yoga classes and delicious meals to relax in the serenity of the day and enjoy calm evenings in the stunning light of the Sacred Valley sunsets.
Wake up in the Sacred Valley with some sun Salutations in your morning yoga class before a local visit of the town of Ollantaytambo, the only remaining town laid out to its original Inca design.
